Animating an object in Blend can be as simple as moving the playhead to a new frame on the timeline and changing the object s position or its other properties. Blend then automatically calculates the transformations necessary to animate the changes in the object from the first frame on the timeline to the new frame. The new frame is called a keyframe it contains key information that Blend uses to calculate the changes necessary to smoothly animate between the original frame and the new one. Blend also lets you draw motion paths that you can easily attach to 2D or 3D objects, which causes the objects to move along the motion path. So animating an object can be as simple as drawing a path for an object to follow. These are two of the most fundamental ways to create animations in Blend using keyframes and using motion paths. Let s look at these two techniques.

Exchanging information (whether gathered actively through registration or user requests, or passively by monitoring customer behavior) allows marketers to re ne their understanding of each customer continuously and to use that information to target him or her speci cally with personalized marketing messages. This is done most frequently on the Web. Comparing various characteristics of MTDs with other marketing-related databases shows the advantages of MTDs. For example, marketing databases focus on understanding customers behavior, but do not target the individual customer nor personalize the marketing approach, as do MTDs. Further, MTDs can combine various types of data behavioral, descriptive, and derivative; other types of marketing databases may offer only one or two of these types. Note that MTDs do not eliminate the need for traditional databases. They complement them by providing additional capabilities (see Online Minicase 1, Dell Computers).

So a database system needs to have rules that specify certain conditions between tables rules to enforce the integrity of information between the tables These rules are known as referential integrity; they keep the relationships between tables intact in a relational database management system Referential integrity prohibits you from changing your data in ways that invalidate the links between tables Referential integrity operates strictly on the basis of the tables key fields; it checks each time a key field, whether primary or foreign, is added, changed, or deleted If a change to a value in a key field creates an invalid relationship, it is said to violate referential integrity Tables can be set up so that referential integrity is enforced automatically When tables are linked, one table is usually called the parent and the other (the table it is linked to) is usually called the child.
